This work includes a review of the biology of each group in the wild with the information being taken to increase the understanding and husbandry standard in captivity. It gives practical guidance for keeping native mammals in captivity, with each chapter containing information on the biology, housing, capture and restraint, transport, diet, behaviour, behavioural enrichment, breeding, and artificial rearing of each group of mammals.
